Wow it has been a long time.....

I can't believe how long it has been since I updated my blog...to be honest I am surprised I even remember the password. There has been a lot going on in my life and I will tell you what is up.

So Steve and I divorced over differences, still friends. He has been dating and enjoying life, I the same. Bruce is still our number 1 little man. He is so smart, learning his ABC's, and counting, loves Daycare.
He talks nonstop and it is adorable to hear him just talk about little things that matter to him.
He is excited to be a big brother. I am with someone and going to have a little boy in feb. Bruce loves talking about baby and kisses my stomach.

I am a busy body with work, and raising Bruce and dealing with major hormones that I sometimes hate but hey that is life!! I hope everybody continues to keep in touch.

Time passes you by....

So it has been a long time since I got on here and wrote anything about my beautiful baby boy.  He is now 19 months and doing really well. Well today he is sick beyond sick. I am as well but I can handle the cold alot better than he can.

Anyways here is updates of what he likes, dislikes etc...

Likes: loves crackers, Yo gabba gabba, Backyardigans, shopping with mommy, anything sugar, to dance, he sings with mom in the car sometimes. He loves to help mom clean the kitchen. Cars, both movie and toys.

dislikes: to eat real food especially greens, being put in car seat still, being caught running in the street. (normal toddler things)

Says: mommy, daddy, showgirl, pebbles, wiggles (pets name), bird, no, yes, bye bye, banana, Nana (my mom), papa (grandpa), tator (family friends son named Taylor), Den (for Caeden), truck, car, bus, he knows his colors, can count to 3.

There is a ton more and for some reason I can't think of them at the moment.

As far as how he is handling the divorce, he is handling it really well, he has ideas on what is going on but where steve and I are still good friends it makes a world of difference on him. He is still our very happy smart kid.

Wow I look back at all the pictures of Bruce and his first birthday and I am amazed on how big he has gotten from that time.

He is saying a few words and running everywhere.
Words: he says fishy well it is more like ptissy but still you understand what he is talking about.
he says mama, dada, no no no, yeah while shaking his head up and down (really cute by the way), hi, nana (for both Banana and Grandma).  Kitty, I swear the other day he said doggy but I will keep listening to him and let you know.

Things he can do now: He can go up and down the stairs by himself, he is a climber, he dances, he waves, he shakes his head yes and no.

Things he hates: he hates to cuddle but I will change that *wink* he hates riding on horses, he hates to stay inside, and hates greens (food).

Loves: animals when they don't jump on him, Blue's clues, Spongebob (I hate the fact he likes tv) he is a sugar bug, he loves to go for a drive (but not a long drive), music.

Happy Birthday Bruce!

Next week is he real Birthday (22nd) and we had his party today! I still cant believe that it has been a year, My little man is getting so big! Here are some pictures.

haircut

Well as most of you know on wednesday it is just Bruce and myself alone because Steve has work and then goes to sword fighting practice-nerdy I know! anyways I got Bru his dinner and then his bath right after. Then something in my head tells me that his hair is uneven and he needs a haircut, lol I am not a hair professional even when it comes to shaving! I was going to try to shave his head but chickened out. I called my mother and took Bru up to her house for her to do it. What a perfect little round head he has! He looks SO CUTE BALD! I hope Steve doesn't kill me! I don't think he will because he told me a week ago that we should shave his head.

Birds

Well it happened again yesterday, the 4th stupid bird to come into the house within the last 2 years!! One the year before I was pregnant, I just had surgery on my mouth and so tired that I didn't care about my fear of birds that I grabbed a broom and tried to "broom it" outside. Second flee carrying maget is when I was pregnant and I was so terrified that I just opened the door and ran into my room until it flew out, I thought I was going to go into labor that day! The 3rd was actually last thursday and it was stuck in the vent and Steve helped it out, but good thing I was out at a birthday party because I would have freaked! and finally the 4th came in yesterday! I had an hour before steve got home from work and I was downstairs playing on the computer as usual and I heard the same scratchy noise again! I was like oh crap here we go again! So I let steve know and I just stayed where I was. Next thing I hear is wings flapping, I was about to cry and so being semi-brave I opened the door to the office and saw it in Steve's den trying to get out. My heart felt like I was going to loose it out of my throat! I ran to my neighbors: good thing Shawn Wolf is home all the time other wise I would die! anyways he came and helped me get the stinky thing out! so lucky for neighbors that have muscles and not afraid of birds that can help me out! Thanks pal! Anyways there is my heartattack for the last couple of years and the last few days! I hope you had a good laugh at my expense! ;)

First Big Owie!

On my nephews birthday (July 6th) we went to a school and played on the playground and ate lunch. Well Jordan has a hard time not listening and he picked Bruce up to put him on the playground and I of course ran over to him to tell him, "you know what I don't want you to put him on the playground because he will fall and hit his head!" anyways he gave me a look like oh crap I don't want that to happen. So I grab Bruce and put him on the ground and he proceeded to walk and play, well he got really wobbly and smashed his mouth into the part where it is rubber covered metal and I might add really hard. He fell to the ground and there was blood everywhere, the poor kid hit his 2 bottom teeth on it. It took him awhile to stop crying and didn't want me to put him down at all but his mouth finally stopped bleeding after maybe 10 min. Good thing there was nothing worse that happened, and that his teeth are perfectly fine. Gave me a fright!

Firecracker bites

1 (8 oz) thing of cream cheese, softened
1 cup of milk
1 (3.4 ounce) of Jello instant pudding flavor vanilla
1 1/2 cups of whip cream thawed
Nilla wafers
red, white, and blue sprinkles
Licorice for the fuse

Beat cream cheese until creamy. Gradually beat in milk. add dry pudding mix; beat 2 min.
whisk in 1 cup of whipping cream.

spoon some mixture on to one of the cookies, make it into a sandwich. Freeze for 2 hours or until filling is firm.




put the remaining whip cream on the top and dip in sprinkles and add the fuse.

I put them back into freezer so the whip cream wouldn't melt all over the cookie.

painting

Well I have a normal looking home well living room and entry way, but still it is not all white and disgusting. so I started on Friday and got done with the living room about 1am until I noticed there were some spots that needed to be fixed, anyways I grab the other can of paint and start fixing the one spot and noticed it was not blending very well. I decided to wait until morning to see if it will blend and low and behold it...didn't, well I was MAD! the stupid freaks didn't mix it right and so I went to walmart and got them to fix it and then I was happy. Anyways I finished Saturday night and after church (don't judge) Steve and I put up the trim. and Wa La we are done and I am so happy!
Well monday came around and I got alittle antsy and painted our front door and changed the locks and now we have a beautiful baby blue door and a new door knob and dead bolt! HOORAY FOR ME FOR BEING SO AMBITIOUS!

well it is official

WE HAVE A WALKER! He wants to walk everywhere, although he sometimes gets tired and crawls for a few feet and then stands up and then it starts again. Thursday evening is when we really noticed his interest in actually moving his feet when he stands, ever since then he has been going everywhere on his feet. Yesterday he was helping me sweep my carport, haha he would not let go of the broom for anything, so I just let him have it. Today it was he wanted me to take him out of the shopping cart and let him push the cart. We were going about negative 10 miles an hour but he was happy.
By the way....
The recipes have not been all that good or exciting lately, maybe thursday night will be better. sorry!

Wednesday June 9

Well this is an interesting post because wednesdays are usually the days I just have salads because Steve has sword fighting wednesday and he doesn't eat dinner. But he stayed home and so I had to find something, so we had chicken cordon bleu with french fries :). the chicken you can just get in a box in the freezer section in walmart. so there wont be a recipe for that sorry.

Recipe for Tuesday June 8th 2010

Taco Turkey wraps

Ingredients:
2/3 sour cream
2 tablespoons of Taco seasoning
tortillas
cheese
1/2 lb of deli thin cut turkey (I think next time I will just use chicken cubed)
salsa (if want to use)

mix the sour cream and the taco seasoning together. spread over tortillas, sprinkle cheese, top with the meat; roll up and enjoy.
These were really good, but steve thinks that it is an odd combination (deli turkey with taco flavor) and to try chicken cubes next time.

oh I also put lettuce in ours to add the greens to our meal ;)

Recipes

Many of you have requested that I put the new recipes that I try and like on here so they can try them, so here is yesterdays recipe.
*one thing that I did is left the dressing out and it was fantastic, and I added olives yum!

Taco Pasta Salad
Ingredients:
2 cups of spiral noodles (I used Garden Rotini noodles)
1 lb of ground beef
1 Package of taco seasoning
3 cups of shredded lettuce
1 cup of shredded cheese (I used fiesta cheese)
1/2 cup of chopped onion (I think next time I am going to use Green onion)
1/2 cup of chopped green pepper
1/2 cup of Catalina Salad dressing
Tortilla chips

instructions:
*cook pasta according to package. Meanwhile in a skillet, cook Beef until no longer pink and drain, put back into skillet and sprinkle taco seasoning on meat until well coated. (it was alittle too salty so I put a 1/8 cup of water to fix it) cool.
*Drain Pasta and rinse in cold water; Stir into meat mixture. Add lettuce, cheese, onion, green pepper, and dressing, toss to coat. Serve with Tortilla Chips. :)

Standing

Well my little man did it, he stood all by himself. I have been noticing that he has a big interest in walking-as long as I am not helping. I can not believe that my little man is 10 months old! I am so incrediably happy with being a mom and having a family of my own. Growing up I dealt with alot of crap, with family members doing drugs, alcohol, etc. I don't want that for my family, I want my life to be as normal/happy as possible.
With me staying home I get to see how much he changes, even in one day. He is eating solid foods, he loves hamburger, yogurt, bananas (he can eat a whole one by himself), really anything that we eat he loves. Today he had refried beans for the first time and wanted to eat them all night, I of course didn't but it was really funny to see his reaction.
He is working on another tooth, it is his other incisor (sp?) I am going to have a vampire baby soon. Man I LOVE THIS KID! I AM THE LUCKIEST PERSON ALIVE!!

I am going to do it!

Well this is it, I am tired of not fitting in my jeans! I only have 2 pairs of jeans that are getting ruined from me wearing them all the time! I have 2 perfectly good pairs of jeans that I can't wear because I am too fat!! How sad is that?! N E Ways...I am going to take it one step at a time and loose weight, it might take forever but I want results sometime in the future!! I have another blog that I am posting what I have been doing and where I am at with the whole diet thing. so get on check me out, I need a fan club!!! I can guarantee that this weekend will not help me what so ever with the whole Dessert party and all... but hey this will be my last party (dessert party) for awhile and I am allowed to splurge a bit!!! DON'T JUDGE ME! ;)

Toy box ride

The other day we were just hanging out in the living room and I noticed that we had no toys in there, so I went into bru's room, and at this point he is whinning and crawling right behind me...anyways I start pushing it towards the living room and he decides to stop me and climb up and just stand there, so I thought it would be funny to put him in the box and let him ride, and he loved it! I was trying to get him out and he got mad at me. I swear he was in the toy box for about 45 min just playing. lol.. what a cute little guy!
